Digital Engagement Lead

In my role as the Digital Engagement Lead, I spearhead a comprehensive digital transformation initiative by project managing collaborative efforts and providing strategic direction for the development of a new website and digital community portal. This involves overseeing the user experience design and crafting compelling narratives to enhance engagement. The platform serves as a nationwide network of over 300 educators across more than 50 partner schools, fostering connection and collaboration among arts educators. I am also developing and implementing an engagement plan to maximize the platform's reach and impact.

Board Member, Social Media Chair

As a Board Member and Social Media Chair for AIGA DC, I contributed to the social media strategy for DC Design Week 2023. By using tools like Asana, Hootsuite, and Figma to boost engagement across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, it resulted in a 35% increase in followers and significant growth in impressions and reach. This amounted to a 95% sellout rate for events and over $13K in revenue.

Director of Community Engagement

As the Director of Community Engagement, I led the design and launch of an online community platform, the inception of data initiatives (now District Data Initiative), managing social media and content creation, and cultivating relationships with community stakeholders. I have also played key roles in event planning (including the National Cherry Blossom Festival Student Art Showcase) and program assessment and evaluation for arts education programs.

As the Education Coordinator, I co-managed a docent corps of 100+ culturally diverse members, providing logistical support and training. I represented the museum in Smithsonian-wide visitor data impact studies and facilitated the planning of digital educator resources and professional development events focused on the art of China collection. I supported External Affairs in serving high-priority patrons, collaborated with Marketing and Communications on bilingual Chinese-English promotional content and blog post, and assisted with public programs and special events, including the museum's reopening, Lunar New Year Festivals, Nowruz, Buddhist Journey's Festival, and Volunteer Appreciation.

As a Schools Program Educator, I designed, implemented, and led educators on engaging in-gallery student tours and hands-on workshops, fostering creative learning experiences within the museum setting. In my Masters degree work placements, I focused on community engagement related to my dissertation and supplementary school educational program. I established outreach initiatives for diverse communities, developed learning resources, and conducted research on community partnerships. I also project managed the creation and delivery of digital learning workshops, taught K-12 audiences, and developed and evaluated digital learning content for museum collections.

I also spearheaded school events, coordinating and hosting international fairs, singing competitions, speech contests, and graduation ceremonies, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
